We have begun enrollment for our Youth Music Program, which is scheduled to begin on May 2, 2022. This program will merge Computer Science, Music Technology, Audio Engineering, and Music Theory.
Please call us at 956-452-4194 to request an application. While this program is FREE to those who qualify, students may be responsible to cover the cost of basic classroom supplies such as music sheets, notebooks, thumb drives, and similar items.
This program will run for 1 year and is currently limited to 25 students between the ages of 12 to 18. However, students who are 18 years old must be currently enrolled in good standing at a local public or private school. Special consideration and priority will be given to at-risk youth. The deadline to apply for the 2022-2023 session is February 15, 2022, and we will begin scheduling interviews beginning on March 1, 2022.
We hope to offer this program to more than 25 students in future years as we continue to recruit additional volunteer teachers.
We believe there is a correlation between musical training and academic success, so we hope that through our music program, our local youth can excel in school and become productive members of our community while they discover a love for music.
